Job description

Barton Associates is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Maine. This 16-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, with a Monday to Thursday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role involves providing anesthesia care for a variety of ambulatory procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, ENT surgeries, orthopedic procedures, pain management interventions, minor general surgeries, and podiatric surgeries. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a diverse range of cases and able to work independently in an outpatient setting. This opportunity requires a current Maine CRNA license and offers the potential for assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administer anesthesia for endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures

• Provide anesthesia care for ENT surgeries, including sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, and ear tube placement

• Manage anesthesia for orthopedic procedures, such as knee and shoulder arthroscopies

• Perform pain management interventions, including epidurals, nerve blocks, and joint injections

• Administer anesthesia for minor general surgeries like hernia repair, cyst removal, and biopsies

• Provide anesthesia care for podiatric surgeries, including bunionectomies and foot/ankle procedures

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans

• Monitor patients throughout procedures and manage post-anesthesia care

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period

• Maintain accurate and detailed anesthesia records

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
