Job summary

Down East Community Hospital in Maine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide full-spectrum anesthesia care across the perioperative period. The CRNA will lead anesthesia care in collaboration with surgeons and department leadership to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include an MS in Nurse Anesthesia (doctorate preferred), Maine RN and CRNA licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and demonstrated leadership with 10 days of call per

Qualifications

• Active un restricted RN license in the State of Maine.
• Active un restricted CRNA license in the State of Maine.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• MS in Nurse Anesthesia; doctorate preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to function independently.
• 10 days of call per month.

Responsibilities

• Formulates anesthesia care plans for ASA I–V patients.
• Selects, implements, and evaluates anesthesia management plans.
• Provides general and regional anesthesia as required.
• Resuscitation and perioperative patient care.
• Supervises and communicates with surgical team during procedures.
• Maintains anesthesia equipment and safety protocols.
• Contributes to education for staff and hospital-wide.
