Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs.
• CRNA must be licensed and eligible to practice in North Carolina.
• Strong plan for patient safety and emergency readiness required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by clinical privileges.
• Assists with collecting and evaluating patient data for planned procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitors airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic responses.
• Completes required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-op assessment, intra-op record, transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incident reporting in the computerized Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
