Qualifications

• Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA and anesthesia care duties as described in privileges.
• Ensures patient safety and participates in the anesthesia process.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by his or her clinical privileges.
• Assist with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data relevant to the patient’s history and planned procedure.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepare and administer medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Monitor airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic response to ensure patient safety.
• Complete required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative record, transfer-of-care note.
• Log incident reporting in the Safety Portal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
