Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – High Point Medical Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team in High Point, NC. The CRNA will provide safe and quality anesthesia during procedures, with opportunities to precept students and collaborate with the medical team.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia, NC RN licensure, NBCRNA certification/recertification, and CPR with ACLS/BLS.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (MSN or higher).
  • Current RN licensure in NC and ANE certification/recertification by NBCRNA.
  • Current CPR; ACLS and BLS.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency within granted privileges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care during procedures with safety and quality focus.
  • Mentor and precept Student Nurse Anesthetists when applicable.
  • Collaborate with medical team to ensure perioperative and anesthesia care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records per hospital standards and confidentiality.

What You’ll Do:

As a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
  • Uses medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri-operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co-morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
  • Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care; Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
  • Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
  • Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.

CRNA Requirements:
  • Graduation of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master’s Degree or Higher Required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing + Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board
  • Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
