Qualifications

• Assesses patient medical and surgical history and planned procedure.
• Maintains safe environment and responds to emergencies.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids according to standards.
• Continuously monitors airway and depth of anesthesia.
• Completes surgical safety checklist and transfer-of-care notes.
• Logs incident reporting as required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by clinical privileges.
• Assists with data collection and evaluation of patient history related to procedure.
• Maintains safety and responds to emergencies and hazards.
• Supports ongoing assessment of airway, anesthesia depth, fluids balance, and physiologic response.
• Completes required documentation and incident reporting.
