Job summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a full‑time CRNA to join a team of ~72 CRNAs and 38 anesthesiologists. The role involves providing anesthesia for General/vascular, neurosurgery, OB/GYN, and other surgeries across multiple venues, with opportunities to precept student nurse anesthetists from regional programs.

Shifts are 8–12 hours; no weekends with occasional holidays. Requires PA RN licensure, graduation from an AANA‑accredited program, and current AANA

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (PA State).
• Graduate of an AANA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program and eligible to sit for initial certification.
• Must hold a valid certification or recertification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for diverse procedures at a Level 1 Trauma Center across multiple venues (Main OR, Orthopedic OR, Women and Babies Hospital OR, Endoscopy Suite, EP Lab, Ambulatory Surgery Center).
• Administer general, spinal, MAC anesthetics and manage emergency airway services.
• Respond to Trauma Codes and IVU Code Strokes; teach and precept Student Nurse Anesthetists from regional programs.

Education

Graduate of an AANA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program

Current RN license (PA State Board of Nursing)

Eligible for initial certification in Nurse Anesthesia

Valid certification or recertification from AANA
