Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado RN license.
• Current Colorado APRN recognition.
• NBCRNA certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• PALS and/or ATLS may be required depending on practice setting or credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care, often within an Anesthesia Care Team model.
• Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations and planning with the Anesthesiologist.
• Administer and manage general, regional, local, or MAC anesthesia; monitor and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Oversee PACU care, manage pain, and address post-anesthetic complications.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and hospitalists for safe patient transitions.
• Accurately document all anesthesia care for records and billing; contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Support teaching of nursing students and trainees as needed.

Education
