Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a qualified nurse anesthetist to provide anesthesia care in partnership with supervising physicians. The CRNA will monitor vital signs, manage airway, and adjust anesthesia plans during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthetic evaluation, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia care, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse in WV or applicable state.
• CRNA board certification or recertification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety at all times during anesthesia care.
• Manage airway and monitor patient response to anesthesia.
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluation and select anesthesia techniques.
• Administer anesthesia during induction, maintenance and emergence.
• Document anesthesia records accurately.
• Ensure equipment safety checks and readiness.
• Adhere to surgical pause and SBAR communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies.
