Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic cases.

The role includes participation in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and AL Board CRNA certification are required, with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications also necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Currently certified with ACLS required.
• Currently certified with BLS from the American Heart Association required.
• Currently certified with PALS from the American Heart Association required.
