Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a competent Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide comprehensive anesthesia services in a hospital setting in Wisconsin. Qualifications

• Demonstrated high level of anesthesia clinical skills and judgment.
• Ability to work independently as part of a surgical-team.
• Proficient use of electronic medical records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provides all elements of pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and post-anesthesia care per anesthesia plan.
• Manages conditions based on clinical indication, evidence-based care and assessment of risks/benefits.
• Performs preoperative evaluation including assessment, consent, premedication and studies review.
• Ensures readiness and availability of equipment, supplies and medications for planned anesthesia.
• Delivers anesthesia including induction, maintenance, and emergence; administers necessary agents.
• Administers post-anesthesia analgesia and transfers care safely to the next provider; documents care accurately.
• Handles emergencies with airway management, emergency drugs and ACLS procedures.
• Maintains accurate EMR documentation and compliant coding/billing practices.
• Participates in quality, safety and onboarding activities and ongoing professional development.
