Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for its Anesthesiology department at Evanston-oriented locations. The CRNA will provide patient care from neonates to geriatrics, under supervision, across Neuro, Cardiac, Gen Surg and OB cases with regional techniques such as spinals and PNBs.

Applicants should have an Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License, CRNA status or board eligibility, and active BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred).

Qualifications

• Illinois Advanced Practicing Nurse License required.
• Graduate of approved School of Nurse Anesthesia.
• Certified or Board eligible for CRNA.
• Maintains recertification every two years.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS recommended.
• New graduate and experienced candidates welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out anesthesia care under supervision of attending anesthesiologist.
• Provide care for patient ages neonate to geriatrics across diverse procedures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary ACT and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Travel between NorthShore facilities as needed.

Delivery of care requires appropriate knowledge and skills to assess each age group, interpret age specific data along with skills to appropriately treat (i.e. medications, set-ups, equipment, etc.) every age-specific patient.* The scope of practice of the CRNA’s at Endeavor Health is unlimited. Patient care focuses on all ages, neonate through geriatrics. Case variety is diverse including Neuro, Cardiac, Gen Surg, Thoracic, Urology, Plastics, Ortho, OB, Optho and multiple off site locations including IR, Cath Lab, GI and MRI. CRNAs have the opportunity to be a member on the heart team functioning as a key provider of anesthesia for a variety of specialty cardiac procedure such as CABG, TAVR, ECMO and LVADs. CRNAs also have the opportunity to function as clinical instructors for SRNAs.
