Job summary
Northwestern Medicine seeks an APRN-CRNA to support high-quality anesthesia care in inpatient and expanded outpatient settings. You will work with staff anesthesiologists, participate in education and leadership activities, and contribute to research projects within the department.
Responsibilities include room setup, preoperative documentation, anesthesia management, and thorough perioperative records. The role emphasizes collaboration, ethics, and adherence to policy and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Illinois APRN license and Illinois Registered Nurse license.
- NBCRNA certification.
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
- ACLS certification.
- Membership in professional organizations encouraged (e.g., AANA, IANA).
Responsibilities
- Selects equipment and sets up rooms for anesthesia, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Ensures complete preoperative documentation and collaborates care plan with surgeons.
- Manages anesthesia care with attending anesthesiologists, adjusting to patient response.
- Performs complete intraoperative and postoperative documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
