Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio seeks a CRNA to join a collegial, community‑focused anesthesia team within the Cleveland Clinic system. This is a PRN role with a schedule mixing 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts.

The CRNAs practice in a collaborative medical‑direction model (1 anesthesiologist to 4 CRNAs) offering professional autonomy and team‑based care. Candidates administer anesthesia to support diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures across a diverse caseload.

Qualifications

• CRNA program graduate and eligible for state licensure
• Current RN license and CRNA certification from Ohio Board of Nursing
• NBCRNA CPC certification and ongoing certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS/NRP may be required depending on work setting

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents a pre‑anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
• Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post‑anesthesia follow‑up.
• Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
• Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes action and notifies the physician as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of accredited CRNA program

RN license and CRNA certification from Ohio Board of Nursing

NBCRNA CPC certification

BLS and ACLS required by AHA

This is a PRN position. Schedule will include a mix 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts. Union Hospital offers a diverse, high‑acuity community caseload across general surgery, orthopedics, OB, endoscopy, and procedural services, with consistent daily OR volume and strong utilization. CRNAs practice in a collaborative, medical‑direction model (1 anesthesiologist to 4 CRNAs) that supports both professional autonomy and team‑based care. Administers anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Education

• Graduate of accredited CRNA program.

Certifications

• Must have a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Must have current certification and continued professional certification (CPC) with the National Board of Certification Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and State Board of Nursing endorsement.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Academy of Pediatrics certifications may be required based upon work setting.

Complexity of Work

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.

• Ability to work under extreme pressure.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $200.00
Maximum hourly: $200.00
