Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for their Capitol Hill/Seattle flagship location. In this role, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and supporting patient safety during surgical procedures. Flexibility in shift lengths from 8 to 12 hours with a minimum of 4 shifts per month required.

PER DIEM CRNA - CAPITOL HILL/SEATTLE FLAGSHIP LOCATION


AVAILABLE SHIFT LENGTHS: 8, 10 OR 12 HOURS - 6:30AM - 7:15PM


START TIMES OF 6:30AM OR 9:00AM AVAILABLE


MINIMUM OF 4 SHIFTS PER MONTH


Job Summary:

Administer general anesthesia and select regional anesthetics for surgical patients and other related services, such as radiology. Support life functions during anesthesia administration. Insert invasive monitoring devices and perform airway management procedures. Take corrective actions for unexpected or abnormal patient responses during anesthetic delivery.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan anesthetic management in collaboration with attending anesthesiologist. Ensure availability and proper functioning of equipment, supplies, and medications.

  • Complete appropriate pre-anesthesia evaluation. Reassess patient condition and readiness immediately prior to induction. Use clinical judgment to administer anesthetic agents, monitor vital signs, and provide resuscitative care to maintain or stabilize the patient’s condition during the peri-anesthetic period.

  • Provide anesthesia care according to policies, rules, and regulations of KFHPW. Record anesthetic events promptly and legibly on the anesthesia record.

  • Report the patient’s peri-anesthetic course and related information to post-anesthesia care personnel. Communicate any changes in the patient’s condition impacting the peri-anesthetic course to the attending anesthesiologist.

  • Document post-anesthetic interviews, including date, time, and any anesthesia-related complications. Report complications to the attending anesthesiologist. Participate in departmental activities and continuing education programs. Share professional skills with other departments.
