Overview

The Emory University Hospital (EUH) Surgical Specialties Team is seeking to hire Anesthetists - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) - to become a vital part of Emory Healthcare’s integrated academic healthcare system.

  • Full Time; Rotating schedule with call.
  • Schedule could be 3-4 days per week, with combinations of 8,10,12-hour and longer shifts, if desired.

Experience
  • General and/or Transplant Anesthesia experience highly preferred.
Highlights Of Joining The EUH Anesthetist Team
  • Salary range: $198,000 - $230,000 per year (for Full Time, 1.0FTE) based on years of experience as an Anesthetist (CRNA or CAA)
  • Eligible for extra duty pay, overnight shift allowance, CME time-off & allowances, Student Loan Repayment program
  • 37 days of PTO (for Full Time 1.0FTE), Benefits coverage, including PTO accrual, will begin from first day of employment

About EUH

EUH covers a wide range of surgical cases including vascular procedures, surgical oncology, colorectal, urology, oral/maxillofacial surgery, reconstructive plastic care, and general abdominal procedures. It manages a large volume of advanced neurosurgical procedures, stroke care, interventional radiology, GI, pulmonary, and liver transplant programs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration of general and regional anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist.
  • Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and instruct others in anesthesia principles and CPR.
  • Interpret and record patient physiological and pharmacological data, assist in pre-op assessments.
  • Participate in research projects and establish multi-parameter monitoring during procedures.
  • Manage pre- and post-anesthetic care, including ventilator management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited CRNA or CAA Master’s Degree program.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in Georgia.
  • Certified by NBCRNA or NCCAA.
  • Maintain biannual certification through CME credits.
  • BLS certification from AHA; ACLS and PALS may be required.
