Job summary

Mount Sinai seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care under supervision for procedures across all ages. You will perform preoperative visits, plan anesthesia, establish IV access, intubate if needed, monitor vital signs, and adjust anesthesia therapy to patient needs.

This full-time onsite role supports the Anesthesiology service at Queens Hospital Center, requiring NYS RN licensure, AANA certification, and a brief orientation period with the team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved nursing program and anesthesia training.
• Current NYS nursing license and AANA certification.
• Orientation period is required to learn institutional policies.

Responsibilities

• Induces anesthesia under supervision and maintains management during procedures.
• Perform preoperative visits, review history and select anesthesia plan.
• Establish IV access and manage fluids as needed.
• Intubate and secure airway when required during surgery.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia accordingly.
• Return patient to conscious state post-surgery and monitor recovery.
