Description:There is a need for CRNA coverage.Shifts available include 8, 10, 12, and 24 hours.The 24-hour shifts are limited to holidays and the days surrounding them.The need for 12-hour shifts is primarily on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as every other shift on those days.The 24-hour OB CRNA will be in-house alone and will only be covering epidurals.If there is a need for a C-section or any other medical requirement, the on-call physician must be contacted.The hospital’s departments are generally efficient in contacting the on-call physician directly.However, the CRNA in-house must call if it involves anything other than a labor epidural.In the event of complications with an epidural, the physician on-call will provide support either over the phone or by coming on-site.A 30-minute response time is in place per policy.This position is considered long-term or until a direct hire can be recruited.The position requires on-site work with call coverage, including weekends and nights.The average call volume varies depending on emergency room activity.The electronic medical record system used is Sunrise (also known as Altera) and anesthesia documentation is through MEdAxion.Candidates must have experience in general, endo, trauma, and OB.Anesthesia nurses and support techs assist in the operating room during procedures.This position may allow for a mix of supervision and room coverage.CRNAs will be expected to perform regional blocks and lines as needed.A collaborative and respectful relationship exists between CRNAs and supervising physicians.A positive team culture is emphasized within the work environment.This position offers opportunities to utilize a wide range of skills and manage a diverse patient acuity.
