Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for a broad range of procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgery and catheterizations.

The role includes participating in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. Eligible candidates hold an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program credential, CRNA certification with the Alabama Board, and current ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Currently certified with ACLS, BLS, and PALS as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
