Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant or CRNA for Lake West. Primary location at UH LakeWest Medical Center with travel to other east-side community hospitals as needed.

Responsibilities include patient readiness assessment, educating patients and families, preparing lines, equipment and drugs, and assisting throughout induction to emergence of anesthesia. Must be a graduate RN and CRNA in Ohio, with duties extending to safe transport and PHI compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Ohio) at graduation.
• CRNA certification required (Ohio) at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient and review data to verify readiness for anesthetic.
• Assist in educating patient and family about anesthetic plan and risks.
• Prepare patient by starting access lines and preoperative therapies.
• Prepare equipment and drugs for planned anesthetic.
• Assist with induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia per guidelines.
• Ensure safe transport postoperatively and smooth handoff to nursing staff.
