The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for the anesthesia services in patient care delivery. He/she manages staff in regards to anesthesia services in the OR, Outpatient Surgery, OB and PACU. He/she consults with staff, medical staff and the Surgical Services Nurse Manager with problems and interpretation of policies and procedures. The CRNA maintains performance improvement activities with in the department and participates in PI activities. He/she assists in formulating the budget. The CRNA provides care in the pain management environment directed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient. He/she functions as a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. He/she is proficient in pain management, guidelines and medication dosing. He/she adheres to the mission, vision and values of Pipestone County Medical Center & Family Clinic in all aspects of job performance.
Education and/or Experience: Graduate from an approved professional CRNA program. Master’s Degree required. Previous experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: An active CRNA license and Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required. Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or re-certified by the Council on Re-certification of Nurse Anesthesia is also required. Certification as an APRN through the Minnesota Board of Nursing with designation specific to the board of practice is required. Federal DEA certification as required by the state of Minnesota. BLS (CPR) certification required. Certification in CALS with newborn module OR ACLS, PALS and NRP required.
$217,859.20 - $277,201.60 annually. Actual salary rate dependent upon experience.
