Job summary

HTU in Lafayette, LA seeks a CRNA to administer anesthesia under physician supervision across surgical and obstetrical procedures. You will collaborate with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff, assess patients, and ensure safety while documenting procedures accurately.

The role requires an AANA-accredited master’s program degree, APRN licensure, AANA certification, and BCLS certification, plus strong communication and a flexible schedule including on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff involved in patient care.
• Assess patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
• Ensure patient safety and follow accepted anesthesia practice techniques.
• Document patient procedures and incidents accurately.
• Act as a liaison to surgeons, anesthesiologists, co-workers, patients, and families.
• Participate in department quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
• Adapt communication and behavior to respect patient privacy and meet specific patient population needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.

About You

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

• Master’s degree from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
• License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice.
• Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Computer skills including proficiency with Windows applications and data entry.

Physical and Environmental Demands

• Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and stand for prolonged periods.
