Job summary

Sage Publishing is seeking a product leader to own the Dynamics CRM backlog and serve internal customers in textbook and journal advertising sales. You will balance business goals with delivery constraints, partnering with Sage Technology engineers to ship impactful work.

You will drive discovery, write clear user stories, manage dependencies across teams, and measure success with adoption and performance metrics while mentoring colleagues in agile product practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in product ownership/management with backlog responsibility.
• Strong written user stories and acceptance criteria; effective refinement with delivery teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, including ability to say no with justification and maintain relationships.
• Comfort using data to inform prioritization and critically analyze metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog, align roadmap with business and technology strategy.
• Build relationships with internal customers (textbook & journal advertising sales) and translate needs into deliverable work.
• Lead discovery: talk to users, interrogate data, test assumptions before engineering effort.
• Partner with engineers and architects to understand platform and mitigate delivery risks; shape feasible solutions.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and negotiate priorities to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Define success metrics and measure outcomes using adoption data and user feedback.
• Contribute to the PM team's practices and mentor others in agile product habits.
