Job summary

ORTC, LLC is seeking a Certified Recovery Mentor at Springfield Treatment Center to support clients in their recovery journey. You will attend group sessions with counselors, provide telephonic support and case management, and meet clients at community or 12-step gatherings.

A flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends is required. Relocation assistance is provided; salary is $19.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Recovery Mentor licensure with ongoing CE requirements.
• Meets state requirements for employment in an opioid treatment program.
• Compliance with federal guidelines on prohibited substances.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Attend group sessions alongside primary counselors to support clients.
• Provide telephonic support, case management, and meet clients at community or 12-step gatherings.
• Empower clients at various recovery stages to make informed choices and connect to resources.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Our treatment center hours are:5:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. M-F and 6:00 - 10:00 a.m. on rotating Saturdays.

What does a Certified Recovery Mentor do?

• You will play a vital role in the recovery journey of our clients by attending group sessions alongside primary counselors, embodying a positive role model while reinforcing valuable suggestions based on your personal experiences.
• You'll provide essential support, filling gaps that traditional counseling cannot, with services like telephonic support, case management, and meeting clients at community or 12-step gatherings.
• Working closely with clients at various stages of recovery, you will empower them to make informed, independent choices while connecting them with invaluable community resources.
• Embrace a flexible work schedule that accommodates early mornings, evenings, and weekends, ensuring you can meet clients where they are most comfortable and ready to grow.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Certified as a Recovery Mentor issued by the state licensing body and ensure they complete the required continuing education to maintain their licensure
• Meet state requirements for employment in an opioid treatment program
• We follow federal guidelines regarding prohibited substances
• even those legal at the state level
• Current driver's license
