Maine Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Criticalist (board-certified or board-eligible) to join our Rarebreed clinic. You will oversee ICU patients, perform advanced procedures, and collaborate with specialty departments to deliver top-tier care to pets and their families.

Competenze

• DVM degree or equivalent.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Veterinary Criticalist DACVECC.
• Ability to obtain Massachusetts Veterinary License.

Mansioni

• Oversee ICU patients including trauma, sepsis, shock, respiratory distress and postoperative critical cases.
• Perform advanced diagnostic/therapeutic procedures (point-of-care ultrasound, arterial/central line placement, continuous hemodynamic monitoring).
• Lead emergency stabilization, triage, and case management for ER/ICU staff.
• Communicate diagnoses, options, prognoses, and updates to clients clearly and compassionately.
• Collaborate with surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and other departments for comprehensive care.
• Lead and participate in CPR events following RECOVER guidelines.
• Contribute to ICU protocol and training program development.
