Job summary

Comcast is seeking an Engineer 2, Network Operations - Critical Infrastructure to support operation, maintenance, and reliability of essential systems in Comcast facilities. You will monitor power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire life safety while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires 2+ years in related facilities or data centers, a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, and flexibility for night/weekend work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting critical infrastructure, facility operations, data center environments, building systems, or related operating facilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, fire life safety, or related equipment.
• Experience using common diagnostic and maintenance tools.
• Ability to read, maintain, and follow maintenance schedules, procedures, and site standards.
• Experience documenting operational activities and maintaining technical records and infrastructure documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to escalate concerns per processes.
• Ability to work safely in operational facilities with vendors and internal teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement critical infrastructure capacity management through site audits and modeling.
• Support plan of record deployment including ticket management and planning.
• Coordinate floor plan updates and manage equipment inventory.
• Monitor device onboarding and analyze performance indicators with team oversight.
• Gather data and propose solutions following standard methodologies.
• Coordinate with vendors to execute network infrastructure projects.
• Maintain documentation including floor plans, asset databases, and capacity reports.
• Perform routine health checks and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Exercise independent judgment on matters of significance.
