Job summary

Comcast in Colorado is hiring an Engineer 2, Network Operations - Critical Infrastructure to maintain power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire life safety systems across facilities. You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to keep critical infrastructure ready for business-critical environments.

The role requires 2+ years in related facilities operations and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with flexibility for nights and weekends and on-site work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in critical infrastructure, facility operations, data center environments, or related operational facilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, fire life safety, plumbing or mechanical systems.
• Experience using common diagnostic and maintenance tools.
• Ability to read, maintain, and follow maintenance schedules, operating procedures, and maintenance documentation.
• Experience documenting operational activities and maintaining technical records, procedures, reports, or infrastructure documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues, follow processes, and escalate concerns.

Responsibilities

• Implement critical infrastructure capacity management through site audits and equipment modeling with guidance from senior engineers.
• Support plan of record deployment activities including ticket management and infrastructure planning under established protocols.
• Coordinate floor plan updates and manage equipment inventory with moderate supervision.
• Monitor device onboarding and analyze performance indicators with team oversight.
• Gather data and recommend solutions following standard methodologies.
• Coordinate with vendors and track milestones for network infrastructure projects.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation including floor plans, asset databases, and capacity reports.
• Perform routine health checks and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
