Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician II to support service and maintenance operations in Chantilly, VA. You will maintain uptime on mission-critical HVAC equipment including CRACs, VAVs, and central plant systems; troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance; and communicate with customers about service visits.

Ideal candidates have 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

• Work on RTUs, split systems, and packaged units (light-to-mid tonnage)
• Complete service documentation and communicate effectively with customers
• Follow safety standards, codes, and ABM procedures

Overview

ABM is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician II to support service and maintenance operations in Chantilly, VA. You're responsible for maintaining uptime on mission-critical HVAC equipment. That includes CRACs, VAVs, chilled water systems, and central plant equipment. There are troubleshooting opportunities, but the expectation is that you catch problems before they become failures.

Pay: $35.00-$48.00 an hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

• Preferred Experience:
• Packaged units and RTUs up to mid-range tonnage
• Exposure to chillers or refrigeration (not required)
• Experience working in commercial facilities
• Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel throughout the DFW area
• Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
• Pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR required
