Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking Critical Facilities/Maintenance Technicians to maintain and operate HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, and life-safety systems at a fully onsite facility in Frederick, MD. Responsibilities include preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, coordination with contractors, and rapid response to emergencies.

Candidates will manage work orders in CMMS and ensure adherence to SOPs and ERP procedures, with a focus on safe, compliant operation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining critical facilities equipment and building systems.
• Ability to monitor and manage HVAC, electrical, fire detection and life-safety systems.
• Experience supervising or coordinating with contractors and ensuring safety/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Oversee electrical operations, energy management, and coordination with change control processes.
• Respond to emergencies (fire, equipment failures) and manage work orders in CMMS.
• Coordinate with facility manager and vendors to source materials and finalize work orders.
