Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Critical Facilities Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale construction programs in mission-critical environments. This role requires regular travel to Birmingham, AL to support project execution, stakeholder engagement, and on-site collaboration.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of PM experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore and standard PM tools. Excellent communication and governance practices are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5–7 years of relevant project management experience.
• Strong organizational and management skills for collaborative teams.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
• Analyze and track critical milestones to avoid schedule slips.
• Ensure governance, processes and systems are applied.
• Produce formal project status reports and other required reports.
• Monitor multiple construction projects to ensure design standards are applied.
• Manage supplier interfaces via monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, contractors and regional stakeholders.
• Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field.
• Provide cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance.
• Review status reports, drawings, timelines and costs from all parties.

Currently seeking an experienced Critical Facilities Senior Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects and managing complex project delivery within mission-critical environments. This role requires regular travel to Birmingham, AL , where the client office is located, to support project execution, stakeholder engagement, and on-site collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
• Can analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
• Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized
• Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
• Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.
• Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly.
• Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
• Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
• Forecast and update key project milestones.
• Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
• Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
• Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
• Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
• Client management - assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
• Strategic Thinking - provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients' objectives and business objectives.
• Knowledge management - ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project are captured.
• Process improvement - Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor's degree and or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant project management experience.
• Strong organizational and management skills - the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
