Job summary

JLL is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX to support daily inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems, service work, and upkeep to ensure safe environmental conditions.

You will respond to Building Management System alarms, coordinate with third‑party vendors, perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance, and document activities with meters and CMMS-based workflows while meeting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have HVAC or Electrical experience. Trade license is preferred but not required.
• Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Must be able to complete work orders through CMMS systems.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to Meet the physical requirements of this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
