BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Veterinary Technician to support our Extracorporeal Therapies and Hemodialysis program. This full-time role offers collaboration with boarded specialists, with a pathway toward VTS ECC and advanced monitoring skills.

Responsibilities include caring for critically ill patients, placing central/CVC lines, arterial catheters, and using direct arterial monitoring and telemetry. Nights, weekends, and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Veterinary Technician or VTS preferred.
• Interest in pursuing Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) ECC.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is hiring a Critical Care Veterinary Technician who will be supporting our flourishing Extracorporeal Therapies and Hemodialysis program! If you are a VTS or interested in pursuing your VTS (ECC), have an interest in Extracorporeal Therapies and Mechanical Ventilation, and want to work at the high end of your credentials,

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) to join our team. If you enjoy intensive patient care and working in a complex and collaborative environment, this is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $21.00 - $48.00 / hour

Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified LVT, CVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS!

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through leveling system

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

As a Critical Care Technician, you will:

• Provide care to our critical patients including those receiving extracorporeal therapy like hemodialysis and therapeutic plasma exchange.
• Work in collaboration with our boarded criticalists, skilled technicians, and assistants to provide high quality, progressive medical care to your patients
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like central lines, PICC lines, and arterial catheters.
• Use advanced monitoring like direct arterial blood pressure, capnography, and continuous telemetry
• Assisting in the ICU, including monitor and care for patients receiving mechanical ventilation and other critical patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Assisting with maintenance in the department including stocking
