Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking a Unit Coordinator for the Critical Care Unit.

This role provides general clerical support, receptionist duties, transcription and processing of physician orders, and coordinates unit communications with other departments and the public. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least six months related experience, and BLS certification prior to orientation end.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Six (6) months related experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – required prior to the end of the orientation period

Responsibilities

• Provides general clerical support to a specific unit including receptionist duties, transcription and processing of physician orders; and coordination of unit communication with other hospital departments as well as the public.
• Contributes to the safe and efficient operations of Nursing Service.
