Job description

MUSC Health - Florence is seeking a PRN Pulmonary and Critical Care trained physician to join an expanding pulmonary and critical care department in Florence, SC. This is a prime opportunity to join a very busy pulmonary practice in a growing region with a service area population of 250,000 people and a high ICU acuity with diverse pulmonary pathologies such as sarcoidosis, asthma, and COPD.

As a partner and collaborator with our academic medical center, you will have access to advanced technologies, including specialty and sub-specialty diagnostic support, and direct affiliation with clinical centers of excellence to enhance care delivery locally.

About our opportunity:

1. Seeking candidates who are Board Certified/Board Eligible.
2. Fiber optic bronchoscopy equipment with advanced diagnostic capabilities such as endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), navigational bronchoscopy, and bronchial thermoplasty.
3. Management of 3 ICUs (MICU, SICU/NSICU, CVICU) with referrals from neighboring hospitals.
4. Tele-neurocritical care and stroke thrombectomy capabilities.
5. Practice includes 5 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers.
6. Balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient practice with flexibility based on preference.
