Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Transport Registered Nurse at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital to coordinate safe transport of critical care patients between departments. The RN will assess patient needs, communicate with sending staff, and maintain high standards of nursing care during transfer.

The role requires a BSN, a California RN license, BLS/ACLS, and strong observation, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

BSN required for all external candidates.
Current California RN License.
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification.
Excellent observation, nursing judgement, and communication; strong interpersonal skills.
Self-directed with minimal supervision; strong organizational skills.
Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations.
One year of nursing experience in a Critical Care setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs for transport in collaboration with the sending department staff.
Maintain high standards of quality, service, and critical nursing skills during transfer.
Follow Regulatory Standards and Fountain Valley Regional Hospital policies and procedures.
