Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks a Paramedic to join its transport team, providing critical patient care within the hospital setting and during inter-facility transfers.

You will work on an interdisciplinary team, perform age-appropriate assessments, and uphold safety standards under licensed supervision, with opportunities to contribute to quality improvement and staff training.

Qualifications

• Must meet Georgia continuing education requirements per GA Code 3, 31-11-58.1 and DHR for paramedics.
• 1 year of experience in patient care.
• National Registry EMT-Paramedic preferred; EMT-A is listed as preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates age-specific competency across Neonate to Adult stages.
• Demonstrates comprehensive assessment skills within scope of responsibilities.
• May lead a team and assist in delivering patient care per licensure and protocols.
• Prioritizes and delivers dependable, effective patient care in various situations.
• Demonstrates five rights of medication administration within scope of practice.
• Participates in shift change reports and staff orientations.
