Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit is seeking a Critical Care Technician (CCT) for a full-time position.
Lunder 6 is a 22-bed adult Neuroscience ICU located in Boston, MA, caring for critically ill patients with neurological diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injury.
Assist the healthcare team to promote a safe, caring environment for patients under the mentorship of an RN.
Assist patients with daily needs, monitor vital signs, draw blood, obtain EKGs, respond to requests promptly, safeguard confidentiality, monitor safety, and communicate respectfully.
Provide effective customer service and interact well with diverse patients, staff, and providers.
Use strong interpersonal, communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills to solve basic patient and practice problems.
Lift and transport patients safely using proper techniques.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of inpatient experience in an acute care setting.
Recent experience or training in clinical patient care.
Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT program at hire.
Or: Enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, or PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed.
Days 7am-7pm and Nights 7pm-7am.
