Job summary

Capital Health is seeking care-focused staff to support patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves safety procedures, personal care, specimen collection, nutrition support, and accurate documentation under RN supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be prepared to obtain AHA BLS. CNA certification is preferred or completion of the Capital Health UAP program within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides for safety aspects of patient care, follows falls precautions.
• Assists with personal care and basic dressings under RN direction.
• Collects specimens and assists with nutrition and monitoring.
• Documents observations in patient records and reports to RN.
• Performs phlebotomy, glucometer testing, and vital signs as directed.
• Maintains a clean, organized unit and supports changing department needs.
