Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) - Critical Care Technician (CCT)

We are seeking a Critical Care Technician (CCT) for Ellison 9, a patient and family-centered 16-bed adult unit serving critically ill cardiac ICU patients. The position offers Day and Night shift availability, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

Ellison 9's most common diagnoses and interventions include hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, ventricular assist devices, CVVH, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, recovery from coronary procedures, and treatment for conditions like acute myocardial infarction with cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, and multiple organ dysfunction/failure.

Qualifications

Applicants must have more than one year of clinical patient experience. Education requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent; no experience can substitute for the degree. Necessary licenses and credentials include BLS certification, and preferred certifications include Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic, and Nursing Assistant.

Experience working in patient or elder care for 1-2 years is preferred. Skills required include the ability to understand and follow instructions, knowledge of medical terminology, strong patient service skills, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and proficiency with electronic medical records.

Schedule and Benefits

The position involves rotating shifts (7 am-7 pm and 7 pm-7 am) with mandatory weekend shifts every month.
