Job summary

CoxHealthSouth at 3801 S National Ave in Springfield, MO, seeks a Critical Care Nurse to deliver direct patient care for acutely ill individuals in a highly monitored setting. You will oversee patient assessments, diagnostic tests, and treatments, while supporting physicians during procedures and managing complex equipment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program (NLN approved) with preferred Bachelor’s degree, Missouri RN license, and BLS/ACLS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• Experience: Preferred: Previous nursing experience.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrates leadership; Time management; Critical thinking and problem solving; Multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients.
• Monitor and operate advanced medical equipment and interpret vital parameters.
• Assist physicians with procedures and initiate treatments as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient condition.
