Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking an experienced RN to provide critical care in the ICU and Emergency Department. You will apply the nursing process to deliver individualized patient care and collaborate with a skilled team.

We offer 12-hour shifts, a 72-hour pay period, day/night/weekend/holiday rotation, competitive wages, IPERS retirement, and in-house education. IA RN license and certifications are required or provided on hire.

Qualifications

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask.
• IA RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required or in-house upon hire.
• One year of Medical/Surgical or critical care experience.
• New grads with strong interest in critical care encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care in the ICU and ED.
• Assume responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a shift.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver total patient care.
• Apply age-appropriate protocols for physical and psychological needs of patients.
