Job summary

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process across clinical areas. You will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes while maintaining a compassionate environment for patients and families.

The role requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience, an active RN license, and BCLS certification. ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN license in the state or a compact state is required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Document findings and care plans accurately; report changes to the team.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
