Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Under supervision, you will lead other team members, deliver family-centered care, and uphold standards of care, privacy, and professional accountability in a dynamic hospital setting with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN licensure by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state required.
• If RN hired after 2013 with an Associate or Diploma, must enroll in an accredited BSN within two years and complete BSN within four years.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead other team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide age-appropriate care.
• Deliver patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and uphold patient privacy and professional behavior.
