Job summary

Southern California Hospitals in Culver City, CA is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for acutely ill patients. The role involves hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, ventilator management and collaboration with physicians and staff.

You will evaluate patient responses, adjust plans of care, and mentor new graduates. Required CA RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• One year of critical care nursing experience or completion of a 6-week critical care training course.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care, administers medications including IV titrations and arterial lines.
• Manages cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, treatments and procedures.
• Collaborates with the health care team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Responds to codes and supports care across the interdisciplinary team.
