Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Float Pool. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a high acuity environment.

We are an amazing team that supports each other and values patient care as meaningful as we do. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care across shifts, educating patients and families while maintaining accurate records and administering medications.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure in accordance with state regulations.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred, required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications preferred, required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS certification preferred, required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CCRN or CEN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of critically ill patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
