Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Float Pool. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care in critical care environments and support a collaborative team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Qualified candidates hold a Florida RN license (compact allowed with FL license within 60 days) and acute care experience. BLS/ACLS/NIHSS live within required grace periods; CCRN or related certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or have a compact license with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required (6-month grace period from hire).
• Current NIHSS required (6-month grace period from hire).
• Certifications: CCRN, ONC, PCCN, Cardiac/Vascular, CMSRN or Medical-Surgical RN as applicable.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and communication skills; proficient reading and following instructions; PC skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Critical Care level patients.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
