Job summary

Cape Cod Hospital in Massachusetts is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse to deliver patient care in the ICU and CVICU. The role requires substantial critical care experience, active MA RN license, ACLS, BLS, and pharmacology exam completion.

You will work 36 hours weekly, rotating evenings/nights, with weekend and holiday rotations, and float between ICU services. This position offers a competitive hourly pay range and extensive credentialing requirements, with opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of position.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• CCRN Certification preferred.
• Prior critical care experience required.
• Demonstrated skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
• Certification in Arterial Blood Gases within 6 months.
• Successful passage of Pharmacology exam.
• BSN Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administers and monitors patient responses to all medications.
• Directs and guides patient care, teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
• Maintains and delivers high quality customer service standards.
• Represents hospital in the community while maintaining confidentiality.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
