• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
• Utilizes information and assessment data to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Identifies and prioritizes information to take immediate evidence-based action.
• Monitors and adjusts equipment and interprets displays from cardiac monitors and other devices.
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Assesses patient needs and develops an individualized plan of care; evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage the unit.
• Serves as a role model and participates in education and performance improvement.
