Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is an academic medical center in Las Vegas offering Nevada's highest level of care and hosting a Magnet-recognized nursing program. A CRP Registered Nurse will be assigned to various Critical Care units, delivering direct care to acutely and critically ill patients within a highly technical monitoring environment.

Education requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program and a Nevada RN license with BLS and ACLS/ALS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of one year of recent bedside critical care experience, within the past five years, in IMC/CIMC/Step-down units.
• Current Nevada RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse, BLS certification accepted by AHA, and ACLS or ALS.
• Some positions may require TNCC, PALS, NRP, or additional specialty certifications.
• Knowledge of the nursing process, anatomy and physiology, standards of care, and patient care planning; safety policies and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to acutely and critically ill patients in a high-technology monitoring environment.
• Apply scientific nursing principles to patient care and treatment plans.
• Utilize ventilator knowledge and advanced airway management as needed; administer critical care infusions and monitor responses.
