Job summary

Orlando Health in Florida is seeking an experienced registered nurse in a unit caring for patients with high-acuity needs, with a preference for Labor Delivery experience.

You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, perform complex assessments, and deliver evidence-based care on a patient-centered unit.

The role requires maintaining clinical competencies, documenting care, and adhering to regulatory standards while supporting patient families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal ICU.
• Minimum of one year RN experience, prefer in Labor Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment and interprets monitors ( intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, cardiac rhythms, etc.).
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Assesses patient needs and develops an individualized plan of care; evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and compliant manner; maintains safety and quality standards.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to plan and manage care; serves as educator and mentor.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
